Sharing Our Faith
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a worldwide movement of passionate followers of Jesus Christ, loving God and loving each other in the context of Biblical Christianity, with an emphasis on education and health.
There are over 21 million members worldwide representing over 88,000 churches, 8,000 schools, 118 college or university institutions, 221 hospitals, and 60 publishing houses working with over 325 languages.
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians.
The Seventh-day Adventist church strongly believes in religious freedom for all people. A person’s conscience, not government, should dictate his or her choice to worship—or not. We have advocated for these goals for more than 100 years, through our department of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL), to governments and religious and international organizations.
